are you kidding!?

Yeah, so don't EVER take it apon yourself to take off your gel nails in the comfort of your home. Holy crap! I must have sat there for about 2 hours soaking and prying, soaking and prying off the thick goo of gel. Sure they are pretty for the time being but then you get them filled once and it only goes down from there. But I do have to say it is MUCH easier to do daily activities with those suckers goooone! I'll never do that again. Wait....I said that last time and here I am again saying the same thing. So, don't mark my word.
Well I received the most wonderfullest gift of all today. :) My sister had a wedding picture of James and I made into a woven throw. It was forsure the coolest thing ever. It's like life like. That's kinda scary as I sit here now and glance up at the wall and it stares back at me. But nonetheless, I'm in love with it. I always wondered out those blankets turned out when you had them sent out to be processed, now I know. I recommend this to anyone, mothers day is right around the corner, maybe this is the prefect gift for your mommy.
What else. Well it is official, the semester is finally done! Good thing I can't say I can walk away from this last course feeling comfortable in thinking that I learned something. Sure you learn a little bit, but I would love to learn much more, but I need someone to teach me, vs doing it on my own. I'm better when someone teaches me. So, it's off to Bradenton next semester in August. Arg. I've registered for 5 classes. We'll see if that really happens. I'm not seeing that as being sucessful. I know that's negative right off the bat, but when you have to work full time and go to school full time and try to make a marriage work and whatever else life throws at me. I just want to get as much done so that I can move on and do what I want as a career. James took his last final today and thankfully he passed, so graduation here we come! Finally we'll be making some money. After our trip to Hawaii in....10 days he'll come back and take the state test and if all goes well he'll be working at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota. Show me the money! :)

mmm...coldstone..

yup, this is officially my most favoritest icecream place on earth! if you like icecream this is the place for you. but it's funny, because I really dont care that greatly for the cold stuff. i mean it's ok, but it just seems to make me cough for some odd reason. not sure what it is, but i know that this place just north on 41 is delish! i'm wanting to go everynight! i create this great receipe of freezing cold chocolate icecream with a warm fudge brownie, chocolate syrup drizzled about, reeses pieces and snickers bites, now common', doesn't that sound like it's to die for!? so next time you people visit, that's forsure the place we'll have to go. :)

Just another day in Paradise

it's a beautiful sunny day in south west Florida. just got home from class and now have no idea what to do with the rest of my day. i've got this itch to scrapbook my wedding album but all my loot is put away until, well, we move i guess. not that that is in the plan or anything, i just have no place to put anything to be ceative. our son jon takes up the other bedroom and until he's out of the house (which will probably be never) i'll be lacking in the creative world for some time. so can you imagine that i can't find a thing to keep me busy today. i mean it's florida, there are thousands of things to do, help me pick just one..

talk about "High Class"

haha. so this is a goood one. James and I got a gift card for a resturant down on Siesta Key (which tells you one thing right there), so we thought we'd go check it out for dinner tonight. We pull in and this place looks like a hole in the water, but to our suprise offers valet parking, which is a must! Ok, that's different we thought, and we hand over the keys. We enter the building and are seated at our table. The wine menu is brought out along with a loaf of bread. Ok, so no wine for us, but the bread is exellent! As we are looking through the dinner menu, not one thing is under $30.00! I can't even imagine what the heck I'm about to order, so I got for the cheapest thing on the menu which is considered an appetizer which is $17.00. James gets an dinner for $31.00 and a crab cake for $17.00! One single small round itty bitty crab cake for nearly $20.00!!!! Are you kidding! Oh no, their not kidding. So we order and are waiting and waiting for our dinner for about 40 minutes, the finally here comes our child size portioned meals. I almost fell over. So I gobbled up my 3 chunks of shrimp and set the fake flower aside. So after that was over, and we made the decision not to have desert the bill came and was nearly $80.00 for the 2 of us! That's nuts! The $25.00 gift card didn't even put a dent in the bill. Then on the way out we remember we have to tip the valet guys a couple dollars. Cheers!

in a nut shell

aww....finally relaxation. Pretty busy week. Trying to get all the thank you letters out to those we are thankful for.. once again I find myself searching and searching for something to make for dinner...soultion...Beef O' Bradys. :) That's probably the cheapest place James and I can eat for under 20 dolla. That's what I'm talking about. Tomorrow I'm traveling the 40 miles to Port Charlotte to get together with my girls from BBB, we're having a ladies cookout, in which that reminds me, I need to get to the store and get all the fixins for something to make and bring. Hawaii is approaching quickly, in less than a month we'll be sailing the tropical seas with our umbrella drink in our hand basking in the sun in which I will for sure be a lobster when we arrive back home. James and I should be at the mud hole this weekend. We had a blast last time we went, except for the fact that it was freeeeezing! This weekend would have been much better, we just need to get ourselves a little tinker toy to play in the mud with. :) and a potty where you can pee anytime anywhere. So, i'm in the market for a new car and I have been ever since I've seen the G6 crusing down 41, so who wants to buy my car? Any takers?

Until next time.

coffee...good.

I don't know that I could wake up a morning without a cup of joe in my hand as I walked out the door. Never used to enjoy the full flavored pick me up, but it's for sure growing on me. I'm not sure if part of it has to do with the new coffee maker we got as a wedding gift or what, but whatever it is.....it's working.

Oh, totally off subject. Nicole, do you remember if Coney is open Sundays?? Ask Mike, I'm sure he knows. lol. It's a good place, glad you enjoyed.

all in a days work

so here's how it went down today. i did decide myself and go ahead and make the sugar cookies, not because i wanted the sugar ones, but because i didn't have all the special touches for the peanut butter ones. curses to that. me looooove peanut butter. but all in all their still excellent of course! so all day i did typical wife dudies today. cleaned house, cooked, laundry, baked, how boring is that. now im off to writing thank you cards. BYE!

pick one..

peanut butter or sugar cookies?!.......or both! :)

Cookies~

So i've finally got a 'real' day off to do, well, absoutly nothing! Well nothing that involves driving in the car. The house needs to be cleaned (boring) and I have to write about 100 thank you cards (time consuming) and I've been dying to make some sugar cookies in that new Kitchen Aid stand mixer we got from Aunt Brenda for our wedding. Now I'm making meat loaf, in which I'm very excited for. I'm trying out that new loaf pan Nicole and Mike got us. :) I bet it's going to be perfect, just like them! :) Other than that, just waiting for my husband to get home so we can eat dinner. mmm..mmm...mmm..

Kari Rae Constanzer

It's Kari. I'm newly married to my husband James. Grew up in a very small town in Northern Wisconsin for 21 years. Moved to Florida with my family where I attend college for a degree in Graphic Art and Design, in hopes to work for a magazine company someday. Pretty boring, but it works.
